BridgeTower

Ten Mile & McMillan intersection in the BridgeTower business corridor of NW Meridian nears completion.

The intersection at Ten Mile and McMillan within the BridgeTower business corridor in Meridian is well underway and on schedule for completion in early November. The project is being spearheaded by Primeland Development Company, the developer of the BridgeTower community, in partnership with ACHD. Frank Varriale, of Primeland Development, envisions this intersection as a critical component to accommodate the growth in and around BridgeTower and the Northwest Meridian business corridor; "We already have several contracts with commercial and retail tenants on all four corners of the intersection. It will be a significant benefit to these establishments to have the intersection complete, and not have to endure the construction process after they are up and running."

The intersection will be signalized with seven lanes including turn lanes on the Ten Mile route and 5 lanes on the McMillan route. Fiber optic trunk lines are being installed enabling redundant fiber optic connections to the commercial users and future residential components. The BridgeTower community which began development in 2001 has already developed about half of its residential component with over 750 homes already complete, and approximately 200 acres of mixed use commercial, retail, and office now under way.
